Overview
The VP Corporate Responsibility is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to support Smartsheet's mission, values and business goals. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this leader will drive positive social impact, foster a culture of inclusivity and engagement and partner closely with the Legal & Risk teams to craft the company's ESG initiatives, enhancing the company's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
Responsibilities
Corporate Responsibility and DEI Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive DEI, and Corporate Responsibility strategies aligned with the company's mission, values, and business objectives.
- Lead the integration of CSR and DEI considerations into all aspects of the business, from operations to product development.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) in partnership with Vista, Blackstone and internal stakeholders and track progress towards CSR, DEI and Social goals (within the overall Smartsheet ESG framework).
Employee Engagement and Volunteerism
Design and execute global employee volunteer and engagement programs to foster a culture of community involvement.Collaborate with the People org, leadership, and other departments to integrate volunteerism into overall company objectives with a focus on global implementation and participation.Build and maintain partnerships with external organizations to identify volunteer opportunities for employees in regions across the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, Costa Rica, Bulgaria and India.Ensure compliance with government regulations and requirements in key regions to meet CSR corporate standards.Analyze data to measure the impact of volunteer programs and drive continuous improvement and tie investment to business outcomes.Establish, measure and report on key metrics to align with Vista and Blackstone standards for portfolio companies, external ESG reporting and customer requirements, as well as internal employee engagement.DEI Leadership
Lead the development and implementation of DEI initiatives across the organization, focusing on recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, and leadership.Partner with the People org to evolve people practices and metrics aligned with DEI goals.Maintain a global DEI ecosystem, including leader and community engagement, with global programs, tailored to regions as appropriate.Provide coaching and mentorship to leadership (SLT and CLT) on DEI, ESG and CSR matters.Partner with and provide support for Smartsheet's ERGs and DEI committees.Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Build out global CSR programs and external partnerships, maximizing impact through alignment with the DEI strategy.Represent the company in external DEI and CSR forums.Collaborate with other departments on ESG-related goals and materials.Establish and track CSR metrics to measure progress and impact.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree idealMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a corporate environment, ideally within tech / software (SaaS) with a proven track record in building out corporate social responsibility programs, volunteer efforts, company giving programs and DEI initiatives. Prior experience partnering with private equity ideal, with experience in building out a set of programs, metrics, KPIs and reports to ensure compliance with investor / fund criteria.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, driving engagement and participation in company programs.Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.Passion for social impact and creating a positive changeCurrent US Perks & Benefits :
