We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to manage the logistics and materials handling for a long-term project in Boise, ID.
Position Overview:
ServicePoint IT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Boise, Idaho. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of our safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant working environment for all employees. This role will involve proactive risk management, adherence to safety regulations, and continuous improvement of workplace safety standards. The Safety Manager will also be a key resource for training, reporting, and responding to incidents, working closely with all departments to ensure safety policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures that comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide safety training to all employees, including new hires and regular safety res, ensuring all staff are aware of safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate workplace accidents or near misses, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards. Keep updated on changes in safety regulations and best practices.
  • Perform routine inspections of the work environment, equipment, and processes to identify and resolve safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and compliance efforts. Provide regular reports to senior management regarding safety performance and program effectiveness.
  • Lead safety meetings and participate in safety committees, driving a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness drills (e.g., fire drills, evacuation procedures) and ensure emergency equipment is well-maintained and accessible.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role, ideally within the IT services.
  • Experience working on large commercial projects.
  • OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour or 10-hour certification) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential safety-related information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
