Job Duties:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative and Inventory Specialist with a focus on providing excellent customer service and managing inventory for our pressure washer sales. This role also involves promoting new products, driving sales opportunities, and offering customers tailored quotes for replacement options when repairs are not ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Promotion & Customer Engagement:
• Proactively promote new products, inform customers about ongoing brand promotions, and identify sales opportunities by engaging customers in conversations both in person and over the phone.
• Create relevant sales quotes and proposals for customers who choose to replace equipment rather than repair it, acting as the "replace" advocate in the repair vs. replace discussion.
Customer Service & Sales Support:
• Assist walk-in and phone customers by helping them identify and purchase the correct parts and equipment for their needs.
• Proactively recommend additional products or accessories that may enhance customer satisfaction or improve their workflow.
• Handle orders efficiently, ensuring accurate product details and customer information, and process payments both in-person and over the phone.
• Assemble hoses, wands, and other accessories for customers, ensuring they receive a fully operational solution.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming showroom and warehouse space for customers.
Inventory Management:
• Ensure stock levels of pressure washers, parts, and accessories align with customer demand, supporting both retail and repair department needs.
• Regularly monitor sales trends and product usage to anticipate inventory needs and prevent shortages.
• Use QuickBooks to create purchase orders, track inventory levels, and audit incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
• Perform regular physical inventory checks, reconcile any discrepancies, and oversee the annual inventory count.
• Collaborate with vendors to place orders, negotiate freight terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Shipping & Receiving:
• Process inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate labeling, packaging, and documentation.
• Handle customer orders by pulling items, preparing them for shipment, and coordinating with carriers for pickup or drop-off.
• Manage returns, freight damage claims, and ensure all freight-related charges are accurately documented.
Warehouse & Showroom Maintenance:
• Keep the parts room, warehouse, and showroom organized and presentable, ensuring that all items are easily accessible.
• Occasionally assemble products for display or sale, using basic tools.
Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the service department and sister store to ensure stock transfers are accurate and timely.
• Communicate regularly with colleagues about pending orders, inventory needs, and any opportunities for efficient ordering to support repairs and sales.
Required Skills:
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle numbers accurately.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to assist customers and offer product recommendations.
• A willingness to learn the functions of our products and inventory.
• Ability to manage inventory systems like QuickBooks and ensure stock accuracy.
