Our client, a prominent construction firm in Toledo, OH, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of estimating software, electrical installations, and comprehensive estimating practices.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead the estimating team on larger projects.
- Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed estimates, subcontractor and vendor RFPs, and proposal letters.
- Project Management: Assist with change orders and maintain an estimating database, including assemblies and template estimates.
- Scope Review: Attend pre-bid and scope review meetings, interpret project documents, and accurately estimate the scope of work.
- Bid Management: Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids for completeness and compliance.
- Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring overall customer satisfaction while maintaining attention to detail.
- Electrical Knowledge: Utilize expert knowledge of electrical work, including lighting, control systems, and power distribution, as well as understanding the NEC National Electric Code.
- Estimating Software: Proficient in Accubid software for creating and managing estimates, including the ability to build assemblies and input information effectively.
- Bid Evaluation: Review and analyze bids for scope, schedule, and compliance, and develop RFI questions for discrepancies.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry with a focus on electrical installations.
- Advanced skills in estimating software, particularly Accubid.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
