Summary
theWit is seeking a Sales Coordinator to add to our strong Sales team! We are looking for those who celebrate relationships and sales. This individual needs to be willing to develop team culture, while utilizing their skills to create an environment dedicated to thoughtful and attentive service. This position will provide substantial administrative assistance to the sales managers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Use excellent organizational skills to gather and communicate all group and meeting details.
- Act as the department's communication hub, ensuring smooth information flow within the department and externally between other departments, customers, and vendors.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude while promptly responding to phone calls and emails.
- Perform administrative tasks, including emailing, drafting correspondence and reports, filing, creating sales kits, completing amenity requests, handling mail collection/distribution, and managing expense reports.
- Develop strong working relationships with sales managers, hotel department heads, and colleagues in other operational areas.
- Conduct site tours of the hotel as needed.
- Support the team by streamlining processes and entering data into Excel.
- Assist managers and directors with scheduling appointments, arranging travel, and coordinating sales calls.
- Uphold guidelines of confidentiality and adhere to the companys code of ethics in all areas.
- Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times.
- Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees.
- Attend relevant hotel meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and the work area.
- Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules.
- Stay up to date with hotel information and changes.
- Follow hotel uniform and grooming standards.
Requirements
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Demonstrates superior communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Possesses working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel; prior experience with Delphi, Salesforce, and Fosse is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required; a bachelors degree is preferred or related work experience.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
