In the role of a Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating the production plan to satisfy planned level of sales, while meeting the company’s profit, productivity, and lead time and customer satisfaction goals. Will coordinate the production plan with sales objectives, resource availability and financial budgets, providing direct and consistent dialogue between operations, sales and customer service.
Other Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Creates and manages the production schedule of all incoming customer orders
- Manages material planning activity to ensure timely delivery of material to support production operations
- Daily maintenance of schedules and prioritization for all manufacturing cells on all shifts. Sets priorities for the Tool Room
- Assignment of manufacturing due dates to all customer orders following the Contract Review Procedure
- Monitor labor needed to minimize fluctuations in the work force
- Continually manages and adjusts production schedules in response to fluctuations in raw material availability, manufacturing capacity, and demand for products
- Utilize ERP system to schedule production and achieve optimum inventory control
- Interact with different departments to meet customer expectations and ensure on time delivery
- Manages production order variance to minimize cost discrepancies and inventory inaccuracies and identify root cause
- Conduct capacity and Labor analysis and report constraints to department managers.
- Support with inventory analysis and create applicable reporting
- Evaluates the impact of new product introduction on production capabilities
- Leads and ensures implementation of special projects to increase efficiency and decrease scheduling variances and response time while maintaining customer satisfaction at a high level
- Identifies trends of semi-complex issues or recurring problems and develops improved multi-department processes to resolve those problems
- Communicate with Customer Service on past due and impending past due orders
- Participate in daily Pulse Meeting so all efforts are coordinated to accomplish the same goals
- Create manual Work Orders, new items, BOM´s, ECO´s.
- Generate monthly Key Indicators and make recommendations for improvement to senior management
- May participate in establishing resource requirements, budgets, schedules and performance standards for the entity managed
- Provide updates to departmental managers of potential supply constraints that may impact on-time delivery to customers
- Performs other duties as required
Essential Qualifications:
- 1-3 years direct experience in related with post high school diploma/certificate
- Must have a clear understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturing planning and control systems.
- Advanced in-depth knowledge of/skills in master scheduling, materials requirements planning, capacity planning, use and interpretation of operating metrics and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience within the medical device industry.
- Previous experience with lean manufacturing concepts.
- IQMS ERP system
ADA Requirements:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel by air or car occasionally

Annual Salary Range $65,000 - $75,000. Position will report to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations - Assembly and is not a remote position.
