Job Summary:
This role manages the full recruitment life cycle for the facility, from partnering with leaders to define staffing needs to sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates. Clear and effective communication is key, as you'll collaborate with leaders, hiring managers, and candidates throughout the process. Additional responsibilities include supporting HR functions such as employee onboarding, maintaining personnel records, ensuring policy compliance, and tracking and reporting recruitment data. The position also involves building relationships with universities, schools, and community organizations, representing the company at career events, maintaining recruitment data to ensure legal compliance, and working with the Human Resources and site leadership teams to drive impactful initiatives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership teams to understand staffing needs, define job requirements, and identify ideal qualifications and skillsets for open roles.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to write, edit, and refine job descriptions that clearly communicate expectations and attract the right candidates.
- Build and nurture a network of contacts to identify and engage qualified talent, continuously growing our pool of potential candidates.
- Create compelling job ads and strategically place them across multiple platforms to maximize visibility and attract applicants.
- Proactively reach out to potential candidates, providing them with key details about the organization and the role, to create excitement and interest.
- Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to ensure candidates align with both the position and our company culture, while providing valuable insights about our workplace environment.
- Cultivate relationships with universities, alumni groups, and other community organizations to create a candidate pipeline and to attract a steady flow of applicants.
- Represent our company at public events, including schools, career fairs, and local community engagements, helping to connect with candidates and showcase our organization.
- Create, track, and maintain comprehensive recruitment data and metrics, providing regular reports on key performance indicators and trends, with weekly updates to leaders.
- Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action / Equal Employment Opportunity regulations.
- Collaborate with team leaders and process pre-employment screenings to ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding of all new hires.
- Maintain timely and accurate employment records in systems.
- As appropriate, collaborate with external recruiters and employment agencies to find a match for hard to fill roles.
- Take on projects and special initiatives as needed, helping to continuously improve our process and strategies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of direct experience OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of four years direct experience OR six years of direct experience.
- Exceptional communication and follow-through skills, with the ability to actively listen and confidently articulate thoughts.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all candidate and employee information, ensuring sensitive data is handled with discretion and in compliance with privacy laws and company policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. MS Teams preferred.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Previous HRIS experience - ADP Workforce Now a plus.
- Ability to work on-site full time.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others.
- Advanced Manufacturing / Medical Device recruitment experience.
ADA Requirements:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing physical hazards
- Travel by air or car occasionally
