Job Overview
South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family; we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! We are currently hiring for a Part-time Redelivery Driver at our Home Farm location in Middletown, MD!
Our Delivery Drivers are the driving force of SMC – without our Delivery Team, SMC would not be where we are today. It’s a crew made up of self-motivated, safe, and detail-oriented people – are you ready to join us?
The shift for this position requires availability Monday through Friday, 4pm-10pm, as needed. Shift times may be slightly longer or shorter depending on delivery needs.
The focus of this position is to deliver re-deliveries to customers' houses. Additional duties may be assigned to assist on the dock.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Driving delivery routes – which may include areas like Baltimore, Virginia, and DC
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Lifting 40- 50 lbs from ground level to waist height
- Carrying deliveries to the customer’s preferred delivery location
- Reminder: we bottle in glass bottles
- Utilizing a tablet to read customer orders
- Selecting the correct bags
- Selecting the correct milk/tea/lemonade bottles
- Making accurate deliveries
- Completing other delivery tasks as needed
- Assisting other departments as needed
