Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Benefits and Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding their benefits options along with keeping up to date the HRIS system and insurance portals. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate various benefits administration systems.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits eligibility, enrollment processes, and claims issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as FMLA, HIPAA, and Medicare.
- Receive and process new hire, rehire documentation, status/payroll changes and terminations
- Immediately resolve all daily exceptions that impact payroll
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits information in the systems used for administration.
- Collaborate with HR teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits information within all insurance portals and our HRIS system.
- Communicate effectively with employees about their benefits options during onboarding and open enrollment periods.
- Review garnishment orders and set up as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in benefits administration or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
- Ability to analyze data related to employee benefits and make informed recommendations for improvements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
