Overview
As our SmileMakers Repackaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating repackaging equipment; including but not limited to, sticker sheeter, sticker roller, and automated bagging machines, to create custom sized sticker rolls for consumers. This is the ideal position for someone who has an eye for detail and is looking for a consistent workflow throughout the day.
This position takes place on-site in Spartanburg, SC and the hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Detailed Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
1. Operates sticker sheeter, sticker roller, and automated kit bagging machines
2. Abide by all policies and procedures of SmileMakers and Oriental Trading Company
3. Maintain regular and predictable attendance
4. Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors
5. Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
Marginal Functions
1. Performs operator level troubleshooting on equipment, accessories, and fixtures
2. Assembles treasure chest and samplers, sometimes working with other departments on large runs
3. Read set up sheets and set up samplers
4. Cross trains in processes as workload and equipment allow
5. Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to meet minimum performance and accuracy expectations according to set policies and procedures in a performance management environment
- Requires good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and attention to detail to identify alpha and numeric characters
- Ability to walk for the duration of the shift
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to frequently squat, push, bend, and reach overhead
- Ability to frequently move up to 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally over a distance of several feet
- Average reading ability to correctly follow written instructions
- Basic counting and math skills to pick and process the correct quantity
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Previous experience in a production environment preferred
