What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Dental Assistant/Oral Surgery Assistant position at Smiles 4 Keeps Family Dentistry & Orthodontics?
Our Smiles4Keeps Oral Surgery team is looking for an experienced OS Dental Assistant that can travel between our Bartonsville and Allentown locations.
Must have previous OS experience, x-ray license would be a PLUS!
Job Responsibilities are not limited to the following:
- Go over pre-op instruction- prepare patient for dental treatment and answer any questions or concerns.
- Review patient health history, provide information to patients and parents. Notify provider of any medical concerns.
- Learn how to work in the different departments in the office (Pediatric/ General and Orthodontics).
- Go over post-op instructions at the completion of treatment and monitor patient.
- Follow sterilization process, clean instruments, properly bag and store them, set up rooms.
- Refill and organize treatment room for patients.
Qualifications
- Radiology Certification - Radiation Health & Safety Certification (PLUS)
- Travel required between Bartonsville & Allentown
- Spanish language- fluently
- Dental assisting experience - Chairside Assisting
- Dental terminology knowledge
- Infection control experience
- MUST have previous OS Dental Assisting experience
