Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and train office staff, including receptionists and dental assistants, to ensure compliance with office policies and procedures.
- Oversee scheduling of appointments, patient records management, and billing processes while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Implement utilization management strategies to optimize patient care and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee the documentation process within the clinic.
- Utilize practice management software such as Open Dental and Dentrix for efficient office operations.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly, fostering a welcoming environment in the clinic.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental office management is essential.
- Familiarity with practice management systems, particularly Open Dental and Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical recordkeeping standards.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and dental providers.
- Prior experience in utilization management is preferred but not mandatory.
