Pediatric Dentist Job Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric dental exams and diagnose oral health conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans for children and teens
- Administer anesthesia and provide treatments including:
Fillings, Extractions, Stainless steel and zirconia crowns
- Deliver preventive services:
Cleanings, Fluoride applications, Dental sealants
- Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and home care techniques
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and orthodontists to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate dental records in OpenDental or similar dental software
- Stay up to date with pediatric dental innovations and participate in CE courses
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license
- Completion of an accredited pediatric dental residency program
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach
- Commitment to creating positive dental experiences for kids
