Title: Corporate Controller
Location: Rochester, NY
Salary: $110,000 - $150,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend major corporate accounting strategies, objectives, and policies to management.
- Establish, document, and maintain standard accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for all finance and accounting operations across entities.
- Oversee the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.
- Manage the creation of annual budgets and conduct monthly variance analysis for all entities.
- Handle the management of debt, construction financing, and other capital transactions.
- Ensure the successful completion of internal and external financial audits, coordinating with CPA firms and providing timely information as requested by auditors.
- Offer assistance, guidance, and counseling to the General Manager, leadership team, and employees, and participate in KPI meetings as scheduled.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- 8 years of hospitality related financial management and accounting experience at both the property level and corporate supervisory level
- Familiarity with uniform system of accounts for the lodging industry
- Hospitality experience; working with various ownership structures highly desirable
- Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, services and accounting
- Experience with accounting software and centralized control purchasing systems preferred
