Title: Procurement Specialist - Hybrid
Salary: $85,000 to $95,000, Bonus eligible
Location: Rye, NY
A highly successful and growing industrial products company is seeking to hire a talented Procurement Specialist to perform a variety of procurement responsibilities including ensuring the accuracy of orders, inventory integrity, and invoicing. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with sales and logistics teams while utilizing technology platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, NAV, or Business Central. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will work with various SaaS supporting platforms. This opportunity offers significant growth potential with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist will include management of order processing & Management
- Entering and tracking orders for big box store clients, ensuring the accuracy of pricing and delivery terms, monitoring open orders, and resolving potential fulfillment discrepancies.
- Coordinating with sales, supply chain, and accounting teams to maintain efficient order processing, inventory planning, and payment processes.
- Verifying inventory levels within their ERP systems to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure count accuracy and identify variances.
- Collaborating with Demand Planning to develop effective production plans for various locations.
- Ensuring availability of raw materials required to meet customer demand and forecasted needs.
- Generating and reviewing invoices to ensure the integrity of billing and purchase orders.
- Utilizing ERPs to maintain data entry and reporting integrity.
- Obtaining skills in and utilizing various platforms such as GoRamp and SPS Commerce for logistics, EDI transactions, and vendor compliance.
- Partnering with key retail clients to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Participating in special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or finance.
- Experience with retail operations, order management, or supply chain support strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with big box retail standards and expectations is a plus.
- Prior experience or comfort learning new SaaS platforms such as GoRamp and SPS Commerce.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or a similar ERP system).
