What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom Home Sales Consultant position at Smith Custom Homes?

As the Smith Custom Homes’ Sales Specialist you will be dealing with potential customers right from the beginning. Initiating communications with prospects that request information by phone or by email, or through our website. From there, following the sales critical path to set up a Dream Home Consultation, and leading them through the CFP process. You will work closely with the owners of the company to ensure prospective buyers are attended to and moving toward sales conversion. Previous builder or real estate background a plus. Previous high-end sales and customer service a plus.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, go-getter who loves to win, hates to lose, and loves the thrill of the hunt. This candidate will be the first person prospects will have contact with; either written, orally or in person, the candidate must be highly proficient with communication. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, poise, professionalism, charm, and tenacity.
Sales Responsibilities
- Sell, sell, sell!
- Provide outstanding support to customers & Prospects.
- Respond to all email and phone leads immediately.
- Qualify leads based on needs, budget & time frame.
- Provide consistent follow-up to online prospects to facilitate Dream Home Consultations.
- Preparation for sales and other customer meetings.
- Provide information and marketing material to prospects.
- Utilize lead-management software, live chat, and other web-based tools.
- Follow-up to create engagement, set appointments and complete other activities that result in face-to-face appointments.
- Maintain ongoing, personal contact with our customers.
- Demonstrate current, accurate and comprehensive knowledge of Smith Custom Homes’ process and plans.
- Assist in the coordination of events like expos, broker meetings & luncheons.
- Create, develop & manage social media activity & website updates.
- Update database of realtors and prospects as needed.
- Manage website chat from 8am to 4pm M-F.
- Assist in guiding customers through the sales & design process, with the end goal of gaining them as a new homebuyer.
- Manage and facilitate the contract process.
- Set up design sessions for new customers and assist with design process.
The Sales Specialist will have flexibility to work from home or our corporate office in Tampa. Sales presentations and meetings are held at the corporate office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
