Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an engaging first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests while maintaining a smooth flow of service.
- Handle reservations and walk-in guests, ensuring accurate wait times are communicated effectively.
- Assist in managing the dining area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest needs and special requests.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items, wait times, and reservations.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to assist guests effectively.
- Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring their comfort throughout their dining experience.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and practices is beneficial.
