Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in various legal matters, including case preparation, administrative duties, and document management.
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Assist in the preparation of trial materials.
- Maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Assist in managing schedules, appointments, and court deadlines.
- Prepare and organize evidence and exhibits for court hearings and trials.
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, including billing and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal (experience in elder law and family law preferred).
- A paralegal certification (such as from NALA or another recognized organization) is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (Clio).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
