Responsibilities:
As an Enrolled Agent you will be expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities
- Represent business clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, collections, and other proceedings.
- Negotiate Installment Agreements, Offers in Compromise, Penalty Abatements, and other resolution strategies.
- Address payroll tax liabilities, including trust fund recovery penalties, and resolve issues to prevent business disruptions.
- Must be familiar with the use and preparation of Forms: 433-A/B/F, 433-A/B OIC, 12153, 9423, 433-D, 843, and 9465.
- Analyze and evaluate clients’ financial situations to determine the most effective resolution plan.
- Communicate effectively with business owners, providing clear explanations of tax issues and resolution options.
- Develop strategies to address missed payroll deposits, unfiled payroll tax returns, and IRS levies.
- Assist clients in preparing and filing past-due payroll and income tax returns, ensuring compliance with IRS requirements.
- Provide advice on setting up systems to meet ongoing payroll tax obligations.
- Investigate IRS notices and correspondence, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and IRS procedures relevant to businesses and payroll taxes.
- Work closely with a support team to resolve clients’ issues in a timely manner. This will include specialized bookkeepers, tax preparers, and case managers.
Requirements:
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in tax resolution, with expertise in payroll tax debt resolution.
- In-depth knowledge of IRS procedures, tax codes, and collection processes related to payroll taxes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in tax resolution software and tools.
Salary : $72,000 - $100,000
