The Financial Manager for Smith Ranch Homeowners’ Association is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing strategic financial advice to the General Manager. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, information technology, and financial analysis to support Smith Ranch Homes’ successful operations, long-term goals, and financial health. The Financial Manager will be tasked with maintaining accurate financial records, creating budgets, managing assessments, preparing financial reports, and team supervision. Overseeing and streamlining business and enterprise systems, leveraging technology to integrate all department financial activities is a key responsibility of the Financial Manager.

Salary range for this position: $120,000 - $140,000 annually (DOE)

Location: Must work at the San Rafael office 5 days a week; eventual opportunity to work remote one day a week.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (a Master’s degree or professional certification, such as CPA or CFA, preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position supervising others.
- Experience in homeowners’ association or non-profit industries is desirable.
- A strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards (GAAP), and tax laws.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws impacting homeowners' associations in California.
- Experience preparing and managing annual budgets, financial reporting, and reserve studies.
- Proficiency in financial software, technology, and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial data clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
