The Resident Care Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and is responsible for maintaining the nursing department’s schedule.
Summary of Job Duties:
- Utilizes the electronic scheduling system to create and maintain all nursing staff scheduling.
- Serves as the main point of contact for all newly hired nursing personnel.
- Meets with residents newly admitted to Skilled and Transitional Care Units, and their families, and welcomes them and assists with their transition into the community.
- Will perform direct resident care as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be IDPH Certified Nursing Assistant
- Must be CPR certified
- Must possess good computer skills, including solid working knowledge of Excel
- Must possess excellent communication, problem solving, time management and customer service skills
- Previous scheduling experience in a long term care setting, or comparable experience, preferred
- Experience with OnShift a plus
- Demonstrates caring and compassionate nature
- Candidate must be a team player and have a positive outlook
