SUMMARY: Supports any and all on-site testing by preparing tests, mounting and changing tires. Operates various pieces of equipment in order to prepare tire assemblies, vehicles and surfaces for testing.

- Communicates with assigned Test Drivers (Smithers, External Clients or Contract Drivers) to support testing as directed.
- Prepares tire assemblies according to test sheets including mounting and balancing and mounts onto appropriate test vehicle.
- Prepares various test surfaces in accordance with instructions of supervisors to coincide with test instructions (ex. Grooming, Packing, Watering).
- Operates various equipment.
- Fill equipment with fuel or charge (electric vehicles) as needed and record data as needed.
- Performs equipment inspections prior to using any equipment includes checking oil.
- Checks and confirms calibration of applicable equipment (ex. Hand air gauges, balancers).
- Fills out incident reports as needed for any equipment repairs or any other problems that may accrue.
- Cleans and helps maintain garage and equipment as needed.
- Has good attendance and attitude.
- Has the ability to follow directions well.
- Has the ability to learn quickly.
- Follows all safety requirements and procedures.
- Assists other technicians in learning the system.
- Works effectively with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
