Your Opportunity
The Extension Manager is responsible for integrating new or (refocused) processes and putting it in a form that allows regional production to take it and implement it.
Core Responsibilities
- Meets with the local production managers and trainers to walk through steps (train the trainers) and go through message points laid out by director.
- Develops strategies for integration of processes.
- Identify on farm opportunities connecting across regions for standardization.
- Ability to use charts, graphs, animations, multimedia content to develop and design education and training materials.
- Acts as a change agent to identify and drive production continuous improvement projects for the organization.
- Coaches' management in tactical execution of strategic plans.
- Responsible for following all environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Foods subscribes.
- Report all environmental issues immediately to their supervisor.
- Reads and understands the company's emergency notification process.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
