Landscape Design Associate

Job Summary:

The Landscape Design Associate provides essential support to the design and sales teams. This role involves a variety of tasks, including client interaction, data collection, design assistance, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Client Interaction:

• Attend initial client meetings and site visits as needed to gather information such as photographs, measurements, and elevations.
• Assist in maintaining strong client relationships.

Design Support:

• Organize and maintain client files.
• Create base maps and renderings to assist designers.

Sales & Project Support:

• Assist in the preparation of price estimates and work descriptions.
• Prepare job packets with all pertinent information for the installation team.
• Assist with material confirmation and inventory management.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with scheduling and operations managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

On-Site Support:

• Assist crew and operations with painting bed lines and plant/project layout.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and the design team.
• Some knowledge of plant materials, hardscape materials, and landscape construction techniques is helpful but not required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field preferred
