SMMA has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Telecommunications Designer to work on stimulating projects at our Cambridge and Providence offices. The mid-level telecommunications designer will assist the Lead telecommunications Designer in the development of plans and specifications for projects of various types and applications. A balance of technical, communication and organizational skills is needed for this role as well as an inquiring mind that thrives in an ever-changing technological field.

Key Responsibilities :
- Under the supervision of the lead telecommunication designer develop plans consisting of voice, data, security, and audio / visual designs.
- Produce plan mark-ups for revisions to AutoCAD and Revit drawings.
- Create and modify details tailored for each project.
- Participate in construction administration activities such as reviewing submittals and performing construction punch lists.
- Engage in technical discussions with the project lead or as part of a project team meeting.
- Review plans with all disciplines to ensure development of well-coordinated construction documents.
