Home Comfort Specialist Job Description
Job Summary:
This is a highly visible position that combines HVAC expertise with sales and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Use HVAC expertise to advise homeowners on the best possible products and services for their homes.
- Generate and close leads, develop a strong network, and analyze HVAC system situations to determine customer requirements.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, update Home Equipment Profiles, and adhere to credit policies.
- Design diagrams and layouts of HVAC systems, prepare installation/terms documentation, and complete equipment materials lists.
- Prepare sales contracts, obtain signatures, secure down payments, and submit to the Installation Department in a timely manner.
- Resolve problems with customers, solicit referrals, and market other services.
- Achieve sales objectives through company leads and self-generated leads.
- Stay up-to-date with technological developments impacting the industry.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and consultative with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Firm commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree a plus.
- Solid background in the HVAC industry preferred.
- Proven sales experience, including estimating and composing paperwork and documents.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet the company's motor vehicle policy.
