Responsibilities
- Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and timely
- Calculate and record payroll taxes, prepare tax forms, process quarterly tax returns, and maintain payroll records
- Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll processing and tax compliance
- Communicate with clients and tax authorities to resolve payroll issues and disputes
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, withholding rates, and labor laws
- Perform year-end payroll processes and prepare W-2s and 1099s
- Assist with other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, withholding rates, and labor laws
- Experience with payroll software (preferably ADP or QuickBooks)
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented and accurate with data entry and calculations
