Compensation

- Comprehensive assessment of patients' substance abuse history and prompt documentation of findings
- Formulation of individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and interventions
- Revision of treatment plans as needed and effective communication with the treatment team
- Conducting educational and therapeutic groups, providing individual/family counseling, and evaluating intervention effectiveness
- Collaborating on discharge plans, providing referrals, and ensuring continuity of care
- Contributing to program development and maintaining a therapeutic environment
- Reporting unsafe conditions and upholding patient's rights
- Continuing professional development and adherence to ethical standards and guidelines
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or related field preferred; Master’s Degree preferred. Must have a Washington State Department of Health Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
- Experience: Experience and expertise in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs, and substance abuse. 1 to 2 years of counseling experience working with individuals with substance use disorder, preferably co-occurring.
- Additional Skill Requirements:
- Strong and clear sense of boundaries, awareness of personal triggers, and direct experience with treating substance use disorders in an inpatient setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Clear clinical treatment approach and understanding of ASAM criteria and common mental health diagnostic tools.
