Overview : Smokin' Jack BBQ is a premier BBQ restaurant known for its flavorful dishes and exceptional service. We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-oriented Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations. The Catering Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing catering events, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and exceeds our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Catering Event Planning & Coordination :
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for catering events.
Develop custom catering menus based on client preferences and dietary restrictions.Plan event logistics, including menu preparation, staff assignments, and delivery / pickup coordination.Ensure that all necessary equipment, supplies, and staffing are in place for each event.Client Relations :Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business.
Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after events, addressing any issues or concerns.Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.Staff Management :Supervise catering staff, ensuring they are well-trained, professional, and efficient.
Assign tasks to staff for event setups, food service, and clean-up.Ensure staff is aware of safety and sanitation procedures, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.Event Execution :Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events.
Ensure food is delivered and served at the appropriate temperature and on time.Ensure that the overall event atmosphere aligns with Smokin' Jack BBQ's high standards of quality.Inventory & Budget Management :Manage catering inventory, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and well-maintained.
Track expenses for each catering event to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.Maintain a detailed record of catering orders, payments, and event details.Marketing & Sales :Promote Smokin' Jack BBQ's catering services through various marketing channels, including social media, local events, and partnerships.
Develop strategies to increase catering bookings and expand the business.Assist with sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.Compliance :Ensure that all catering operations comply with local health and safety regulations.
Stay up to date on industry trends, food safety guidelines, and catering innovations.Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum 2-3 years in catering management or a similar role within the foodservice industry.Skills : Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge : Familiarity with food safety standards, catering logistics, and customer service best practices.Physical Requirements : Ability to lift heavy items and be on feet for extended periods during events.Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; Culinary Arts degree or Hospitality Management degree preferred.Certification : ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred.Personal Characteristics :
