JOB DESCRIPTION:
Smoky Mountain Farmers Co-op is looking to hire a reliable full-time Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate at our Morristown location. This positionis responsible for transporting goods in a safe, timely manner to designated locations, servicing customers at the store location, and performing other warehouse duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Loading & Delivering Goods
o Loads truck and delivers items such as fertilizer, seed, chemical and other supplies to customer locations.
o Picks up goods and materials, loads and unloads cargo, verifies shipments for accuracy and delivers goods as instructed.
o Organize and warehouses stock on shelves and racks while operating front-end loaders in warehouses.
o Receiving, Shipping & Logistics
o Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or purchase orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed
o Delivers materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
o Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product code
o Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves, or delivers orders to the packing station or shipping department with accuracy
o Records sales and/or provides information on daily sales/delivery records with accuracy.
o Safety & Quality Control
o Performs pre-inspection, routine maintenance, and cleaning of the trucks and other equipment.
o Ensures all safety regulations and procedures are followed.
o Actively participates in all Smoky Mountain Farmers Co-op safety, environment and quality assurance programs.
o Safely operates a forklift of similar equipment to complete job requirements.
o Provide Excellent Customer Service
o Maintain a helpful and positive attitude when working with customers and teammates.
May be asked to perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Class A CDL Endorsement – Required
o At least 1 year of commercial driving experience – Preferred
o General knowledge of agriculture products and equipment
o Ability to communicate and work within a team setting
o Attention to detail
o Must be dependable
o Self-motivated
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQURIEMENTS:
o High School diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o Ability to move around the facility and grounds without assistance
o Ability to repeatedly bend, crouch, kneel, stand, reach, grasp, crawl, walk, lift, push, pull, or climb

o Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds regularly
