Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Designer / Drafter to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering design principles, a comprehensive understanding of SolidWorks software, and a proven track record of translating conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and models. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring creative designs to life.
Responsibilities :
- Design and Modeling :
- Utilize SolidWorks software to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and sheet metal design guidelines.
- Develop and modify complex designs, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to industry standards.
- Drafting and Documentation :
- Generate detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and materials, for use in manufacturing and production processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to clarify design intent and incorporate necessary changes into documentation.
- Design Optimization :
- Analyze designs for potential improvements in terms of efficiency, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide input on design changes that optimize performance and functionality while adhering to project objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, product managers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure seamless integration of design concepts and project requirements.
