What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coil Fabricator position at SMS group Inc?
Summary
The Induction Coil Fabricator will learn heat induction coil repair using the following skills:
• Using tools and brazing together components (using SIL-FOS, Spec 35, 45, and brazing rod) to assemble copper parts as specified by layout, work order, or blueprints, using hand torches.
• Melt and separate brazed joints to remove and straighten damaged or misaligned components, using hand torch.
• Align and secure work pieces in fixtures, jigs, or vise.
• Reading calipers and using measuring tools.
• Pressure check coils for leaks, flow check for proper flow.
• Fill out paperwork associated with assigned work tasks.
• Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations as requested by supervisor.

The right candidate will...
• Knowledge of brazing and soldering a plus.
• Induction heating experience a plus.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with reading and following instructions from CAD drawings.
• Two years’ work experience or certificate course in related field a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with manufacturing, machinist tools, measuring instruments.
• Must be self-directed, motivated and able to multi-task.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays.
• Must follow all company safety protocol.
