What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales/Customer Service position at SMS group Inc?
Summary
This position is a combined role focusing on ELUS’s customer service base and production planning. Coordinates and oversee production scheduling, based on company and customer needs. In addition to providing customers with quick turnaround time on quotes and job processes. Goal is to reach the established planning targets and to ensure that we have an appropriate weekly production planning and all activities related to customer service request are delivered.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead Production Planning
- Scheduling and Planning Lead – Process/Cranks/Forging
- Oversee and mentor the planning by keeping the schedule board updated; weekly
- Schedule shifts according to production needs
- Estimating, Processing and Following up on all Quotes
- Processing New Jobs
- Weekly Sales Forecast for inductors (crankshafts, process and forge)
- Lead weekly/monthly Master production schedule meetings
- Update and provide information about Nucor Inductors and Nucor Quotes
- Create Bill of Material for each Job open
- Maintains customer records by updating account information
- Set up new customer accounts
- Report completed Jobs weekly to ELUS
- Lead the development of scheduling tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the scheduling function
- Prepare Production Reports to ELUS and ELODE
- Complete Written Procedures for ELUS
