Summary: Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
Essential Profit & Loss Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Preparation and distribution of preliminary and final monthly Profit and Loss Statements, Financial Reporting Interaction with Executives, DVP's, RVP's and location managers/directors
Document and maintain accounting procedures
Balance Sheet analysis to improve and shorten closings
General accounting support
Other Special Projects as assigned
Essential Balance Sheet Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Bank Reconciliations & Cash Reconciliations
Fixed Assets
Document and maintain accounting procedures
Balance sheet detail analysis
General accounting support
Sales Tax Returns
Port Fee Returns & Analysis
941 reconciliations
Other Special Projects as assigned

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong understanding of and experience in applying generally accepted accounting procedures in a corporate setting.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportion to practical business situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. As an accounting professional, the individual is expected to adhere to the accounting standards promulgated by the AICPA and SMS Holdings. In fulfilling the primary duties of the job, the Employer relies on the individual to use professional knowledge and experience, with minimal supervision, in the exercise of discretion and independent judgement over matters of great financial significance to the Employer.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MicroSoft Word , processing software; Excel spreadsheet software and Great Plains accounting software.
