We are currently seeking skilled Press Brake Operators to join our team on 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Friday). The ideal candidate should have advanced proficiency in blueprint reading, possess expertise in set-up procedures, and be well-versed in calculating bend allowances. The successful candidate will contribute to the production of precision sheet metal components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Operates press brake machines to bend and form metals to meet customer specification.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret advanced blueprints to determine specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances.
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to provided specifications.
- Performs back guage calibration and resets counters.
- Calculate and apply bend allowances accurately to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient completion of orders.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Fills out all required production paperwork and records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Requires minimum of 1 to 2 years press brake experience. 5 or more years is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to read complex blueprints and perform complex mathematical calculations.
- Advanced knowledge of press brake and use basic quality inspection equipment including calipers, protractors, and micrometers. Ability to follow instructions, read, and write.
Working Conditions
- Constant exposure to one or more elements typically found in a manufacturing setting such as noise, dust, heat, fumes or dirt, which may not be desirable. Exposure to noise requires the use of hearing protection.
