Analyst, Pricing and Estimating

The Opportunity

As a Pricing Specialist, you will offer strategic pricing guidance and oversee the pricing process for both new and existing customers and products. This encompasses developing new and revised item estimates, managing the costing system and quoting processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability through the establishment of strategic pricing.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

• Represent Smurfit Westrock values and deliver excellent service through each interaction
• Gain an understanding of department policies, processes, procedures, and systems utilized in developing an internal network.
• Take an active role in supporting the achievement of goals and objectives.
• Provide assistance with various tasks throughout the department, including customer inquiries, introducing new items, the costing system, estimating, price revisions, and others.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a math-related discipline.
• Paper Manufacturing or related manufacturing work experience
• Exhibits an analytical mindset and a comprehensive understanding of diverse sources of information or data pertinent to the business; synthesizes or incorporates information to address routine problems or issues with appropriate oversight from supervisors as necessary.
• Exhibits a customer-centric mentality and the capability to operate with the clients' best interests as a primary focus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to successfully accomplish tasks and fulfill shared objectives, thereby ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
• Effective time management is achieved through careful planning, prioritization, and efficient task allocation, improving productivity. It shows awareness and control over time spent on activities and a commitment to deadlines.
• Engage in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment and collaborate with internal departments to accomplish objectives and fulfill customer satisfaction.
• Ability to navigate in multiple systems
