SMV Recruiting is seeking a driven and ambitious Sales Manager to lead our clients business development. Our client, a premier precision metal shop in Syracuse, is seeking a proactive individual who thrives on identifying and securing new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and developing long-term relationships. As a key leader on their sales team, you will focus on expanding our customer base in highly specialized markets, driving revenue growth, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who excels in a technical manufacturing environment and is ready to take their career to the next level by driving growth in a specialized, niche market.
FYI this position allows you to primarily work from home, but you need to live in a close proximity to the office, for onsite client meetings. This position pays a base of $50-70K plus bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the precision sheet metal and fabrication space
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and market research to build a robust sales pipeline
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and solutions tailored to their needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and client requirements
- Drive revenue growth by consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering background strongly desired
- Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within precision sheet metal, machining, or a similar manufacturing industry
- Strong track record of identifying, developing, and closing new business through cold calling and networking
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- High level of ambition, self-motivation, and a hunter mentality, unafraid of aggressive business development strategies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams to meet client needs.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
