SMV Recruiting is looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to add to the team for our manufacturing client in Fulton, NY. The ideal candidates will have 10 years of operating CNC Horizontal Lathe equipment, ability to turn lathes, perform manual CNC programming and comprehend blueprints. Responsibilities :
- Utilize 1-4 Horizontal Mori Seki CNC Lathe machines at a time to machine quality parts that are 30 lbs
- Perform 1-3 set ups per day by reading blueprints
- Use manual CNC programming to make precise cuts and make edits
- Turn lathes and change out chuck and jaws on the machines when needed
- Perform inspections on the products using the measuring devices
- Keep machines running accurately, adjust the machines as needed
- Read and write process instructions, work orders, quality documents and other paperwork
