We’re looking for a Solution Architect to join our dynamic Information Technology team here at Safety National, where our mission goes beyond business. As a Solution Architect, you’ll be at the heart of our technology evolution. You’ll lead the charge in developing a diverse portfolio of solutions—everything from applications and systems to cloud services and infrastructure. This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple departments, directly influencing the direction of business strategies and aligning tech solutions with real-world needs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Solution Architect will include proactively and holistically leading and supporting the development and management of portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects and products, systems (Including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. Your understanding of the concepts of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams and business processes and their importance in solution architecture. The solutions architect provides the necessary leaders, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to design and implement cloud solutions. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, experience in cloud administration and development, particularly in the Microsoft Azure environment. Experience establishing and improving infrastructure-as-code capabilities and practices, preferably Terraform. Prior experience with Microsoft Azure environment, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD tools such as Github Actions is preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Design Forward-Thinking Solutions: Develop architectural blueprints that align with business objectives, ensuring solutions are not only innovative but sustainable.

• Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of tech trends, offering insights on how to best utilize emerging technologies like container-based deployments and infrastructure-as-code (think Terraform and OpenTelemetry!).

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: At least 10 years in IT, with 3-5 years’ experience in cloud administration and development. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
• Vision: You see the big picture and are adept at translating business needs into actionable tech strategies.
• Communication: Able to speak both “tech” and “business,” you’re a natural at explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Leadership: You know how to guide teams through change and influence decision-making with your expertise.

Safety National is committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-based compensation. In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $122,000 to $196,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
