Role Descriptions
Seeking two Entry Level -- CNC Entry Level Operator. We will provide training. You will be responsible for maximizing production efficiency and conducting routine CNC inspections. No prior experience necessary
Qualifications for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist and Programmer/Operator
- High school diploma or equivalent
THE BELOW IS ONLY A PLUS, THIS WILL DETERMINE PAY RATE
- Knowledge of workholding, tool holding, and cutting tools
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to work with a variety of metals and to use precision measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers)
- Familiarity with G/M code, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to operate manual machine tools (i.e. lathe, mill) is a plus
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement is a plus
Responsibilities
As an operator in training, environment is within strict safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
You will be trained on how to:
- Understand and read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Measures, marks, and scribe’s dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, and lathes.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
