What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Snappers Turtle Bay Cafe & Barefoot Bar?
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies and ingredients
- Follow all health and safety regulations in handling food and beverages
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender in the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and provide excellent service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy items (e.g. kegs)
