What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at SNC?
Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization.
- Responsible for qualifying our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier information.
- Additionally, you'll work on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as manage multiple service type contracts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 2 years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Supply chain or logistics experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
- Basic accounting skills
- Procurement experience
