About the Accounting Clerk Role
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team at SNI Companies, working closely with a Business Services company in Middlesex County, NJ. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process check requests accurately.
• Manage weekly California Tax payments and support state or federal payroll audits.
• Conduct Stop Payments on payroll checks as needed and respond to general banking inquiries.
• Resolve returned items from bank partners.
• Analyze credit card transactions and create expense reports.
• Provide detailed transaction analysis and explanations as needed.
• Use financial systems to track debits/credits and maintain accurate documentation.
• Process drawdown requests and monthly commissions.
• Maintain SUTA rates in the accounting system.
• Support month-end preparation, processing, closing, and reporting.
• Process EFT transactions and check requests.
• Other tasks may be assigned at management's discretion.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance (desired).
• Up to 1 year of experience in similar accounting positions.
• Familiarity with financial accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and basic accounting functions.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
