Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer II
The Manufacturing Engineer II plays a critical role in optimizing production processes to meet the needs of our clients. This role involves evaluating current processes to assess their efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process Planning: Develop and implement plans to optimize the sequence of fabrication, assembly, and installation within assigned areas, focusing on efficiency, quality, ergonomics, and process consistency.
- Technical Interpretation: Provide expert interpretation of engineering drawings and models to develop effective manufacturing processes for specific production areas.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality assurance procedures that meet industry standards, customer specifications, and site requirements.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure that all documentation, including work instructions, tool usage guidelines, and manufacturing bills of materials, are accurate and up-to-date.
- Tooling Design & Maintenance: Participate in the design and improvement of tooling to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Integrated Product Teams, suppliers, and customers to support program development and execution.
- Configuration Management: Validate assembly configurations and ensure compliance with industry regulations using ERP and PLM systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP and PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Teamcenter, Enovia).
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as CATIA V5/V6, UGNX, or ProE.
- Experience working with large structures and Determinate Assembly (DA) techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications. GD&T Level 1 training is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
