We are seeking a high-performing and driven External Auditor with public accounting experience to join our dynamic audit team. This role requires strong external audit knowledge, the ability to navigate accounting policies and procedures, and a proactive, analytical mindset . Key Responsibilities
- Conduct external audits by examining financial records, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
- Analyze financial controls, policies, and procedures to identify inefficiencies, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Review account books, financial statements, and supporting documentation for accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes to ensure financial integrity.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management teams to implement improved accounting procedures and workflows .
- Manage multiple clients across industries , with a focus on nonprofit organizations and businesses with varying fiscal year-end cycles.
- Work within audit deadlines , including nonprofit EOY audits (January-May) and mid-year audits (July-October).
