Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Acme Gridley/Multi-Spindle Set-Up and Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of automatic screw machines, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to company standards. This role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with precision measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Acme Gridley and multi-spindle screw machines.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to ensure machine efficiency and product quality.
- Read and interpret part prints to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and thread gauges.
- Maintain tooling and conduct preventative maintenance as required.
- Complete machine setups as necessary for production runs.
- Accurately document production data and maintain records.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating and setting up Acme Gridley and/or multi-spindle screw machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Must have own tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and tooling adjustments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Knowledge of CNC operations (a plus but not required).
