Bike Park Instructor – Mountain Creek
Location: Vernon, NJ Reporting to: Bike Park Blazer (Manager)

About Mountain Creek:
Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offering skiing/snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants, and lodge.
How the Bike Park Instructor works with the Team:
Mountain Bike Instructors are responsible for introducing guests of all ages to Downhill Mountain Biking. Instructors must create a learning environment that inspires safety, fun, and ultimately learning to ensure a positive guest experience. They are role models on the mountain and therefore must always be professional both while on and off duty.
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Teaching beginner and intermediate downhill mountain bike lessons in both group and private settings
- Facilitating an experience that is safe, fun, and leads to learning to ensure guests have a memorable experience
- Serving as an ambassador to the resort by always being professional, and knowledgeable about the resort and all its products and offerings
- Leading small group rides/clinics for the public
- Attend periodic training to work towards improving personal riding skills as well as teaching methods and concepts
- Practice, teach, and enforce the Mountain Bikers Responsibility Code Of Conduct at all times
- Offer assistance and support for the mountain bike camps that will be hosted at the resort.
- Assist in the bike shop as needed to get clients ready for their lesson
- Assist with Indoor operations, Rentals, Retail and Repair, when not conducting a lesson
Team Member Qualifications:

- Must be comfortable riding on beginner and intermediate trails
- Be willing and able to work in all outdoor weather conditions
- Have strong communication skills
- Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work as a member of a team
- Provide own proper equipment (bike, protective gear, black shorts/pants, etc.)
- Must be available to work some weekends/holidays
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Teaching or coaching experience is preferred but not required
