Bike Park Mechanic – Mountain Creek
Location: Vernon, NJ Reporting to: Bike Park Blazer

How the Bike Park Mechanic works with the Team:
The Bike Mechanic will maintain our fleet of rental bikes while providing knowledgeable support and mechanical services for guests using their own equipment.
Team Member Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rental bikes to keep fleet in top shape at all times
- Interact with guests in a pleasant manner
- Accurately diagnose issues with guest’s equipment and provide service after explaining issues and costs to guest
- Assembling/disassembling bikes, identify different types of bottom brackets, brake bleeding, crank replacement, fork rebuilds, change derailleurs, headset overhaul, changing brakes, brake levers and shifters, changing all kinds of cables, limit screw adjustments, chain check and replacement, fixing flat tires
- Keep a clean work area, organized tools, etc.
- Wash rental bikes daily after single use
- Work directly with shop supervisor to coordinate reservations and inventory
- Provide parts shopping lists on a weekly basis
- Perform thorough inspections on rental bikes prior and post guest use
- Evaluate service gaps and guest situations quickly and resolve in professional manner
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Team Member Qualifications:

- Must be very proficient in bicycle mechanics, ie: brake bleeds, fork rebuilds, shifting adjustments are a must.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the mountain bike industry
- Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environment and quickly identify problems and recommended solutions
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- Available to work on weekends and holidays
- Provide friendly customer service at all times
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask, handle intense workload, meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team.
