Job Summary: Substitute in various Paraeducator positions throughout the district. Attached are the Level A and Level B Elementary and Secondary job descriptions as a guideline for substituting as a Paraeducator. Substitutes are not required to complete the Fundamental Course of Study or First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Pay Rates: Classified substitutes are compensated at the base pay rate for the position they are subbing in.
Selection Timeline: This position will open and close periodically throughout the school year based on District needs.

- $25.29 per hour for Paraeducator Level A positions (per 2024-2025 PSE salary schedule)
- $26.71 per hour for Paraeducator Level B positions (per 2024-2025 PSE salary schedule)
- Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
- Have received a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment (https://www.ets.org/parapro)
- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university
- Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
