Description
The Elders Program Manager shall be responsible for the daily operations of the Elders Program and the activities that the program oversees. The position is responsible for ongoing program assessment to meet the needs of the Tribal Elders, elder related activities and events and nutritional and care giving supports provided to Tribal Elders.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for all phases of program development, implementation, budget preparations, budget monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide leadership and full administrative oversight of all personnel within the Elders Program, including hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, guidance and mentorship, training, and separations.
- Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and researching funding opportunities for the Elders Program.
- Generate, develop, and present program reports as required.
- Represent Snoqualmie Tribal Elders Programs capabilities and assets with other Tribal Elder and Senior related organizations and agencies.
- Participate in the review and development of financial status for submission to the Tribal government. Will work closely with the Executive Director of Tribal Operations to determine the financial conditions of the program.
- Oversees all contractors engaged by the Tribe for activities in the Elders Program.
- Oversee and direct the effectiveness of the Elders Program activities and events by identifying short- and long-term goals and implement changes and improvements as necessary and directed.
- Communicate and collaborate with various Tribal Departments, outside agencies and relevant groups to effectively gather information and develop recommendations that efficiently coordinate the services provided by the Elders Program.
- Manage program records and information. Gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare reports.

Requirements
- Possesses knowledge and experience related to Tribal Elders and Senior care and willingness to continue formal knowledge on a regular basis.
- Knowledge and understanding of missions, organizational goals and objectives of the Tribal intent for the Tribal Community Services Programs.
- Ability to demonstrate administrative capability in establishing and managing the Elders Program.
- Ability to coordinate work efforts with other respective Tribal departments.
- Experience in program development and social networking within the Snoqualmie Tribe and other agencies related to Senior care.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to follow through and manage details.
- Ability to work with other state federal and local service agencies, and governments.
- Ability to monitor and prioritize workload efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion.
Education & Experience:
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public health, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to effectively manage the responsibilities of the position.
Experience Required:
- Six (6) years or more of experience in case management, tribal outreach coordination, or community engagement, and working to bolster the cultural practices among Elders communities and/or equivalent experience.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience working with or for tribal government is strongly preferred.?
- Ten (10) years or more of prior experience in tribal outreach, tribal governance, or elders case work.
- Prior experience working in a tribal culture position preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Must have and maintain a current and valid Washington State Driver’s License.
- Maintain current HIPPA Training.
Other Requirements:
- Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening.
- Must be able to work a varied work schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation.
Work Environment:
The work environment includes an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building, with a travel requirement of up to 15% of a given month using a GSA vehicle.
Tribal Preference:
The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe follows the Tribal Hiring Preference as outlined in tribal policies, including the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). TERO sets forth certain hiring preferences for qualified individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, as well as, in some cases, preference for certain family members of those individuals.
Additional Information:
- Salary, compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $76,159.67 per year.
- This position is a regular full-time position and employment is at will.
- This position is currently open to internal and/or tribal candidates only.

Salary : $76,160
